This summer, from July 14 to September 22, the Monastery of Uclés (MDU) is celebrating the UclÉs FestivalMusic, which will feature both physical and emotional scenarios.
In the baroque patio of the Monastery, surrounded by the cloister, originating from the 16th century, we will be able to enjoy artists such as Ludovico Einaudi, one of the best pianists in the world, who will perform on July 30, closing his European tour at the Uclés Monastery. We will also have, on September 2, the poetic voice of the fado singer Dulce Pontes and the virtuosity of Ara Malikian on September 22.
In a second alternative setting and between the dates of the main concerts, in the outer space of the Stables, within the architectural ensemble of the Monastery of Uclés, emerging music, or emerging (as its poster says), hybrid music of different roots that will take place, almost every weekend. The kitchens of the Monastery will be served in the stables on nights and weekends of these concerts, offering an informal proposal for summer nights where music and gastronomy will come together to offer a unique experience to attendees.
This festival, promoted by the Fernando Nunez Foundation It will give you the opportunity to get closer to a privileged site, such as the Uclés Monastery and its entire monumental complex, a heritage site declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. To discover this historic place, a special visit has been designed in the most beautiful rooms of the 16th and 17th centuries that are visited, as in the past, by candlelight, causing the magic that could be glimpsed in that flickering light. A visit, for all audiences and enjoyed by all, also including some specific days, nocturnal visits.
Tickets can be purchased at this link, through the official ticket sales channel of The English Court or, physically, in the Monastery itself. There will be tickets of all prices and, for the occasion, MDU has prepared the Experience Pass, which gives the opportunity to enjoy a visit to the Monastery and a concert in the Stables, of emerging music, while tasting the exquisite gastronomy of the area .
