Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance Receives Reaccreditation from IEDC
Las Vegas, NV – February 19, 2026 – The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) has been reaccredited as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO) by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), a recognition signifying a commitment to professional excellence in the field of economic development. The announcement was made on February 17, 2026.
What is AEDO Accreditation?
The AEDO program is a rigorous, peer-review process designed to evaluate economic development organizations against established professional standards. The process involves both a detailed documentation review and an on-site assessment to examine the organization’s structure, funding, programs, and staff. IEDC states that accreditation demonstrates a commitment to competence, expertise, and preparedness.
LVGEA’s Journey to Reaccreditation
LVGEA first received AEDO accreditation in January 2018 and has successfully maintained this status through six years of demonstrated activity and adherence to IEDC standards. This reaccreditation requires ongoing documentation submission and/or site visits every three years.
Statements from Leadership
“The LVGEA displays the professionalism, commitment, and technical expertise that is deserving of this honor,” said Nathan Ohle, President and CEO of the IEDC.
Danielle Casey, President & CEO of LVGEA, emphasized the importance of the peer review process, stating, “This is a peer review process that economic developers take very seriously; not only are we being evaluated to ensure we are following economic development organizational best practices on paper, it is place to the test in the site visit when the accreditation review committee confirms that information through a detailed assessment of the strength and alignment of our regional partners and our economic development operations.”
Lauri Perdue, Board Chair of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, added, “Earning and maintaining AEDO status reflects our board’s commitment to strong governance, strategic alignment, and measurable impact. It signals to our partners, investors, and prospective businesses that LVGEA operates at the highest professional standards and remains focused on delivering real results for our region’s economic future.”
Significance of AEDO Status
Achieving AEDO accreditation assures the community and potential investors that LVGEA operates with a high degree of excellence and trustworthiness. It validates the organization’s dedication to best practices in economic development and its ability to deliver positive economic outcomes for Southern Nevada.
