Chebotina Addresses Public Rift With Uspenskaya
Russian pop singer Lyusya Chebotina is speaking out about her public fallout with veteran estrada star Lyubov Uspenskaya. Appearing on the online show “Natalnaya Karta” hosted by Dmitry Zhuravlev, Chebotina expressed clear surprise at the harsh remarks directed at her by Uspenskaya.
The tension comes as a shock, the singer noted, because the two artists had maintained a friendly relationship just two years prior. They had even discussed potential musical collaborations.
Sarcastic Dismissal of Accidental Conflict
During the program, host Dmitry Zhuravlev questioned whether the public disagreement could have been an accident. He suggested it might have happened “like when drunk.”
Chebotina responded sarcastically. She mimicked how an impulsive online comment might be made to highlight the absurdity of the sudden feud.
“Type of like drunk or what? I’ll drop a comment! Imagine right now, I just take a person whom I’m on great terms with and write: ‘You’re just wildly annoying, you piss me off,'” Chebotina said on the show, according to the interview broadcast.
Unanswered Offers of Help During Family Crisis
Despite the strained relations, Chebotina stated that she attempted to reach out to Uspenskaya when reports emerged that Uspenskaya’s daughter, Tatyana Plaksiya, had gone missing. According to the singer, she immediately contacted Uspenskaya directly to offer assistance with the search efforts.
The message showed as read, yet she received no direct reply from Uspenskaya.
Reaching Out Through Management
Following the lack of a personal response, Chebotina did not stop trying to help. She reached out to Uspenskaya’s managers and directors.
Through these channels, she reiterated her readiness to help personally with the search for Tatyana. However, those messages similarly went unanswered.
