Los Platinum Awards of the Ibero-American audiovisual industry will alternate their next editions between Mexico and Spain. From 2024 to 2027, the Riviera Maya and Madrid will host the awards, alternatively, after three continuous years of holding them in the Spanish capital.
The Ibero-American audiovisual awards will celebrate their 11th Edition on April 20, 2024 at the Gran Tlachco Theater, located in the Mexican Parque Xcaret.
The XII edition will take place in Madrid in 2025; The XIII edition will be held again in Xcaret, Riviera Maya in 2026, and in its XIV edition, in 2027, they will return again to Madrid.
This was announced at an event this Thursday at the Real Casa de Correos in Madrid, in which the president of the Platino and Egeda Awards (Entity for the Management of Rights of Audiovisual Producers of Spain), Enrique Cerezo, was present. , in addition to Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, and José Luis Martínez-Almeida, mayor of the capital.
As Cerezo said, The intention is for the Platino awards to have a traveling nature: “the desire of the organization would be to celebrate it in the 23 Ibero-American countries that compete for the awards”, since “they are for everyone and for everyone, open to all countries that wish to present their candidatures.”
