Man Charged With Murder and Preventing Burial Over Disappearance of Carrie Mullane
A 35-year-old man is scheduled to appear via video link before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of 39-year-old Carrie Mullane and with preventing the lawful burial of a corpse, rte.ie reported. Mullane, also known as Carrie Noonan, was a mother of four originally from Moyross in Limerick who travelled to Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, on October 10, 2026. Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) detectives stated that they believe it is very likely she came to harm shortly after arriving in Northern Ireland.
The PSNI launched an investigation after An Garda Síochána reported concerns for her welfare on October 29, 2026. Officers have conducted intensive searches across County Fermanagh, including Lough Erne, where a small boat and a campervan were recovered and taken away for examination. Prior to the murder charge, the PSNI was granted a court extension of an additional 36 hours to question the suspect, according to The Journal.
Last Confirmed Movements and Public Appeals for Transit Footage
Investigators from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch have mapped Mullane’s final known movements. Detective Superintendent Richard Thornton noted that the last confirmed sighting of Mullane placed her taking a taxi from the Enniskillen bus station on Wellington Road to Trasna Park at approximately 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, after travelling to the area with a man known to her. From that moment onward, her movements remain unknown. Detective Superintendent Richard Thornton, from PSNI Serious Crime Branch, said: Carrie is a much loved mother, sister and friend and is greatly missed by everyone who knows and loves her.

authorities noted as they released photographs of the rear of the van, the campervan viewed from the front, and the boat. Authorities urged anyone who sighted the vehicles between late October 10 and November 1, or who captured relevant dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage, to contact police through the Major Incident Public Portal. Detective Superintendent Thornton specifically appealed to boat owners on Upper Lough Erne who may have spotted the vessel during that timeframe. Det Supt Thornton added: Have you seen this campervan or this boat in and around the Enniskillen and Carrybridge areas?
He further stated: If you think you can help then please I urge you to get in touch with us.
He urged anyone with information no matter how small or insignificant
to get in touch, saying it could prove key in bringing Carrie home and providing answers for her loved ones
.
While the investigation continues with support from the Major Investigation Team and local uniform officers, the PSNI has urged the public to refrain from online speculation. Elsewhere, the PSNI today said it is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support shown by the community
but asked for the public to refrain from speculation, particularly online
. Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting reference number 272 of 29/10/26, while callers in the Republic of Ireland can reach authorities at 999 or 112.
