A tragedy has shaken the Togher community in Cork City following a devastating fire that claimed the life of a man last night. Emergency services responded to reports of the blaze around 6:30 pm at a residential property on Togher Road, encountering a scene of intense destruction.

It was a domestic fire, and when we got into the house, we found a person deceased. We made every effort, dealt with the fire, then found the person.”
