President Marcos Declares Local Holidays for November and December
MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has announced a series of local holidays for November and December, giving residents across the Philippines a chance to celebrate their communities and traditions.
The President issued proclamations declaring special non-working days for various towns and cities, recognizing their historical significance and cultural celebrations. These proclamations were signed on October 22 and 28.
November Holidays
Here are some of the local holidays declared in November:
- November 12: City of Valenzuela (401st Founding Anniversary)
- November 15: Province of Oriental Mindoro (74th Founding Anniversary)
- November 22: City of Palayan, Nueva Ecija (Annual Festival of Thanksgiving) and Municipalities of Itogon and Tublay (Founding Anniversaries)
- November 25: Maragusan, Davao de Oro (Araw ng Maragusan)
- November 26: Dasmariñas City, Cavite (Founding Anniversary)
- November 28: Sarangani Province (32nd Founding Anniversary and 22nd MunaTo Festival) and Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte (73rd Founding Anniversary)
- November 8: Tanay, Rizal (14th Hane Festival)
December Holiday
December 5: City of Palayan, Nueva Ecija (59th Founding Anniversary)
November 15 Holiday in Honor of Eugenio Daza
President Marcos also declared a special non-working day on November 15 in Borongan, Eastern Samar to honor the 154th anniversary of Eugenio Daza, a prominent revolutionary leader and former representative.
