A Family Saga Unfolds

“The Walsh Sisters” centers around the lives of five sisters – Anna (Louisa Harland), Rachel (Caroline Menton), Maggie (Stefanie Preissner), Claire (Danielle Galligan), and Helen (Máiréad Tyers) – as they navigate the complexities of their 20s and 30s in Dublin. The series also features Aidan Quinn and Carrie Crowley as the Walsh parents.

From Page to Screen: A Decade in the Making

Keyes, whose books have sold over 30 million copies worldwide and been translated into 36 languages, expressed her profound joy at seeing her work adapted for television. “For decades, the books were optioned, but nothing ever came of it,” Keyes told the Press Association. “I still can’t describe the pride, excitement and thrill of it all.”

The adaptation process began in 2018, and Keyes has been actively involved as an executive producer, ensuring the series captures the “warmth, the humour, as well as the depth” of her novels.
