Fire Breaks Out at Noida Banquet Hall During Renovation, Electrician Dies

Fifteen fire tenders are engaged in extinguishing fire at Lotus Grandeur Banquet Hall, Noida.

Tragedy struck Noida in the early hours of October 30, 2024, as a massive fire engulfed the Lotus Grandeur Banquet Hall in Sector-74. The fire, which broke out late last night, claimed the life of an electrician working at the site.

Fifteen fire tenders were swiftly dispatched to the scene, successfully containing the blaze. Despite their efforts, the banquet hall, which was undergoing renovation, sustained significant damage.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined, though the use of combustible materials during the renovation process likely contributed to its rapid spread.

“We received a call around 3:30 AM about a fire at Lotus Grandeur banquet hall in Noida Sector 74. Sixteen fire tenders reached the spot within 15 minutes. The cause of the fire is not yet clear, but the banquet hall is largely made of wood, which makes it susceptible to fire,” said Noida DCP Ram Badan Singh.

The victim, identified as Parminder, was an electrician working on the renovation project. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers inherent in construction and renovation work, highlighting the importance of fire safety protocols.
