McLaren driver charged after supercar slams into wall, bike rack near Casa Loma Toronto police say the driver of a McLaren that crashed into a Bike Share Toronto stand at Casa Loma overnight has been arrested for impaired driving. At 11:59 p.m. Thursday, police said officers were called to Spadina Road and Austin Terrace for a report that a vehicle struck a light pole and bike rack and bikes. Photos from the scene show a bright orange McLaren sports car stuck in an upright position against a wall leading to the Casa Loma parking lot. The undercarriage of the orange McLaren can be seen as it rests atop a Bike Share Toronto stand. The driver, who was arrested and a passenger were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officers responded to reports of a crash near Spadina Road and Austin Terrace around 11:59 p.m. Thursday, said Const. Laura Brabant with Toronto police. The vehicle allegedly struck a light pole and a bike rack, she said. Images at the scene showed the aftermath of the crash that appeared to have damaged a light pole and sent several bikes flying from the Bike Share Toronto docking station. Other photos showed a second McLaren stopped nearby that appeared to be undamaged. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, said Brabant. She urged any witnesses to contact police.
