Second Quarter
The Ducks continued to dominate in the second quarter. A 44-yard strike from Dillon Gabriel to Traeshon Holden set up a 23-yard touchdown scramble for Gabriel. Oregon’s offense looked unstoppable with dominant play calling killing the clock and racking up yards. Michigan’s offense seemed to stall, struggling to move the chains against a relentless Oregon defense.

Later in the quarter, Michigan finally got on the scoreboard with three points. A 36-yard reception by Colston Loveland on a flea flicker set the stage, but the drive stalled, leading to a 38-yard field goal by Dominic Zvada.
First Quarter
The Ducks opened the scoring with a touchdown, but officials missed a fumble and then a holding penalty which should have stopped the drive. Dillon Gabriel efficiently moved the ball downfield, connecting with Evan Stewart in the endzone. Unfortunately for Oregon, replay review showed the ball hit the ground and the touchdown was called back, but the referees didn’t review it. It’s a controversial ending to a wild opening possession.
Oregon 7, Michigan 0
Michigan struggled initially but eventually found a spark. An Oregon fumble on a punt by Joe Taylor allowed the Wolverines to recover deep in Ducks territory. Unfortunately, Michigan came up short on their chances for a score.
Pregame Updates
Michigan heads into this important matchup facing a tough challenge. The Wolverines had two starting cornerbacks, Will Johnson and Jyaire Hill, ruled out for the game. Former walk-on Davis Warren is expected to start at quarterback, with Alex Orji likely to see action as well.
The Wolverines are seeking to beat the No. 1 team for the first time since 2017 and will need to play their best game yet to pull off the upset.
