Mobile Primary Care Clinics Available in Dartmouth and Lower Sackville

Nova Scotia Health is offering convenient access to primary care through mobile clinics in Dartmouth and Lower Sackville this weekend, January 10th and 11th. These drop-in clinics provide a temporary solution for individuals with mild to moderate health concerns, and are intended to supplement, not replace, regular care from a family doctor or nurse practitioner.

Sunday, January 11: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Doors open at 8 a.m. each day, with the first appointments beginning at 9 a.m. The final appointment will be at 3:45 p.m.,and clinics will close at 4 p.m.
What to Expect at the Clinics
These clinics operate on a drop-in basis. Upon arrival, you will be asked about your health concern to determine if it can be addressed at the clinic. If appropriate, you will be screened for acute viral respiratory infection and given an approximate appointment time. Please bring your Nova Scotia health card and a list of any medications you are currently taking.
Care is provided by a team of healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners and family physicians.
Conditions Treated
The mobile primary care clinics can address a range of non-urgent, low-acuity health issues, including:
- Prescription refills and renewals (excluding controlled substances)
- Minor respiratory symptoms
- Sore throat
- Earaches
- fever
- Headache
- Rashes
- Minor gastrointestinal concerns (vomiting and diarrhea)
- Cough, flu, or cold symptoms
- Urinary tract infections
- Muscle pain
Please note that lab or diagnostic imaging requisitions will not be available at these clinics.
