- Round 1: Top Prospects & Team Needs
After the live projection in June, here is our third projection for the 2026 draft. The order is defined by the gross balance sheet of the franchises before the 6th NFL week.
1- New York Jets : Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
If there are many credible candidates, no quarterback has yet established himself as the best of the 2026 vintage.Possessing the ideal size (1m98 for 102 kilos),Fernando Mendoza is on the rise. After a huge match (5 TDs, 0 INT) against a good Illinois team, he is facing a major test this Saturday, October 11 against the formidable Oregon defence!
2- Baltimore Ravens : Rueben Bain, Edge, Miami
Despite the injury too Lamar Jackson adn the wanderings on defense, it is unlikely to see the ravens pick in the top 3 in 2026. But this is the current situation, and talking about trades six months from the deadline would make no sense. So, the Baltimore Ravens select Rueben Bain.
The franchise has just sent Odafe Oweh to California and even if the young Mike Green is promising, the pass rusher from the University of miami seems to correspond in every way to this franchise: an aggressive game coupled with an impressive physique! (more about him in this podcast)
3- Cleveland browns : LaNorris Sellers, QB, South carolina
As mentioned before the season, Dillon Gabriel was born to play under Kevin Stefanski. But its capabilities are limited in terms of morphology and arm power. He also does not have any extra mobility to compensate for the shortcomings in his game. Shedeur Sanders? We’ll have to see before putting him down, but a priori he has nothing that can compete with a fiery defense in Cleveland: Myles Garrett, Denzel Ward and company deserve a better offense!
If his start to the 2025 season doesn’t live up to expectations, LaNorris Sellers’ dual-threat profile ticks the “ceiling” (potential) box in bold. Future Jayden Daniels or future… Trey Lance? It’s worth trying!
4- Las Vegas Raiders : Drew Allar, QB, Penn State
It was nice to see Geno Smith reborn in Seattle after the New York Jets experience! But with the Raiders in 2025, he shows again that he has a place in the NFL: but on the bench as insurance/quarterback with experience. Drew allar is struggling to confirm his “elite level” potential, the one who wins one or two NFL titles. But in bits and pieces, he shows extraordinary talent. And regularly, he already seems superior to Geno smith.
5- Miami Dolphins : Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
Your attention ladies and gentlemen, Dante moore’s profile is undoubtedly the most exciting of the 2026 draft! Yes but, there is a but. A 5-star recruit in 2023, he was unable to confirm his status at UCLA. Now at the helm of the Oregon armada, his start to the 2025 season is fantastic!
Tua Tagovailoa pays for the brutal side of this sport, the Dolphins must already be thinking about replacing him.Untransferable due to his contract, he will be Miami’s quarterback in 2026. Dante Moore could then learn before replacing him the following year. The draft can improve the present, it is also made to anticipate the future.
6- New Orleans Saints : Cashius Howell, Edge, Texas A&M
Spencer Rattler just won his very first NFL game. Tyler Shough, the rookie a year older than him, is waiting for his fall to replace him. It would be surprising, with two prospects at the quarterback position, if the Saints neglected their defense. Cashius Howell constantly attacks the offensive lines with his sp
