Homicide Examination Launched After Body Recovered from Lake Michigan
Chicago, IL – A homicide investigation is underway following the discovery of a man’s body in Lake Michigan near Monroe Harbor early Saturday morning. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the death was ruled a homicide, with the cause of death determined to be drowning.
Chicago Fire Department crews recovered the body at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as a 63-year-old male; however,authorities are withholding his name pending notification of next of kin.
