As sources from the armed institute have informed Efe, since early today the Ceuta Civil Guard has been on alert due to the concentration of a large group of immigrants around the Benzú border, in the northern bay.
The Moroccan Gendarmerie warned that more immigrants were joining the initial group until they exceeded 400 people and that they were approaching the fence closest to Benzú, which has caused the Civil Guard to have had to deploy a significant number of troops of various units, which remain in the area since 7 in the morning.
The armed institute has been informed that this is one of the largest groups of immigrants in recent months, although it is impossible at this time to determine the exact number, and at the same time it has been warned that the group has split up. with the intention of seeking the jump over the double fence, more than ten meters high.
The agents remain at the border perimeter in anticipation of an approach from any part of the fence, especially after the separation of the immigrants.
