Deadly Car Accident Claims two Lives Near Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities have identified the two individuals who died in a car accident that occurred on September 12, 2025, near Northeast 36th Street and North Sooner Road in Oklahoma City. The oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed the identities of the victims as 32-year-old Sarah Miller of Oklahoma City and 45-year-old David Thompson of Edmond.

The accident involved a head-on collision between a 2018 Honda Civic, driven by Miller, and a 2023 Ford F-150, operated by Thompson.Preliminary investigations suggest that Thompson was traveling westbound on NE 36th Street when his vehicle crossed the center median and collided with Miller’s vehicle, which was traveling eastbound.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers believe speed and possible impairment were contributing factors in the crash, but the examination is ongoing. No other vehicles were involved, and ther were no passengers in either vehicle.

“This is a tragic event, and our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims,” stated Sergeant Ashley Johnson of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. “We are working diligently to determine the exact cause of the accident and will release further information as it becomes available.”

This incident marks the 78th and 79th traffic fatalities investigated by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol this year, according to their latest statistics. Oklahoma continues to see a concerning number of traffic-related deaths, prompting increased safety awareness campaigns throughout the state.
