New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert Resumes Cancer Treatment

New Found Glory guitarist and singer, Chad Gilbert, is resuming cancer treatment after discovering a “small spot in my back.”

The pop-punk stalwart, 44, shared that he’s beginning a new course of radiation as part of his ongoing treatment for a rare adrenal gland cancer known as metastatic pheochromocytoma that in Gilbert’s case,had spread to his spine and lungs.

New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert has announced he has completed his cancer treatment and is celebrating with a return to a childhood passion. Gilbert shared the news and his positive outlook in a recent post,expressing gratitude for the support he received throughout his journey.

Gilbert previously revealed his diagnosis in July 2023 and underwent treatment throughout the following year. He described his feelings about finishing treatment as “forward to putting this enemy to rest for good.”

Following the completion of radiation,Gilbert marked the occasion with a “post treatment celebratory purchase” – a vintage wrestling figure acquired from Nashville’s Totally Rad Collector’s Emporium. He shared a photo of the figure on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/DNoO46ppV87/

In his post, Gilbert encouraged others facing emotional struggles to “find joy in the simple things and the fun moments you might not have experienced without your struggle,” adding, “We learn from it all.
