Jokbal Shin’s Expands Footprint with Charitable Donations and Franchise Growth

Shinsol F&B, the company behind the popular Jokbal Shin’s franchise, demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility and continued expansion in late February and early March 2026. The company participated in a charity event hosted by singer Kim Jang-hoon and the animal rescue organization SOBY, donating 4 million won to support animal welfare.

Charitable Contribution to Animal Rescue

The “BIG Bazaar” charity sale, held at Yiwon Ecological Park in Seoul on February 28th and March 1st, aimed to raise funds for medical expenses and protection for stray and rescued dogs. The event also featured a stray dog adoption drive to promote adoption awareness. More than 100 pet-related products were available, creating a festival-like atmosphere.

Jokbal Shin’s operated a food stall at the event, selling a “Pig’s Trotter Set Meal for One Person” that quickly sold out. The revenue generated from sales, combined with additional donations, totaled 4 million won, directly benefiting animal rescue efforts.

A representative from Shinsol F&B stated that giving back to the community is a company priority and highlighted the significance of supporting stray and rescued animals through the charity sale. The company plans to continue social welfare activities with its franchise stores to broaden its positive impact.

Franchise Growth and Brand Portfolio

As of last month, Shinsol F&B operates 67 Jokbal Shin’s stores, with 65 locations in Korea and two overseas. The company anticipates reaching approximately 90 stores by the finish of 2026. Total store sales reached 30 billion won as of August 2025, with projections exceeding 50 billion won by the end of the year. The average monthly sales per store are around 70 million won, with top-performing stores exceeding 100 million won monthly.

Shinsol F&B also owns and operates other food brands, including Mansi-dong Teppanyaki (Teppanyaki cuisine) and Cat Village (stove-grilled fish). The company attributes its success to a systematic franchise system and a focus on sustainable development and positive values within the food industry.

Jokbal Shin’s Unique Approach

CEO Shin Yong-sik emphasizes that the key to Jokbal Shin’s popularity lies in its taste. Unlike some competitors, Jokbal Shin’s utilizes an oven to bake its Jokbal, differentiating it from traditional preparation methods.
