Juneau Assembly Welcomes New and Returning Members
The Juneau Assembly has appointed two returning members and one new member following the municipal election, solidifying its nine-member body. The appointments were made during the Assembly’s annual reorganization meeting on Monday, October 28, 2025.
New and Returning Assembly Members
Nano Brooks was appointed as a new member, while Ella Adkison and Greg Smith were reappointed. All three will serve three-year terms. Brooks secured his seat by ousting two-term incumbent Wade Bryson from District 2 by nearly 400 votes. This marks Brooks’ first time holding public office. Bryson did not attend the meeting.
Adkison will serve her first full term after being initially elected in 2023 to complete a term following a resignation. Smith will serve his third and final three-year term on the Assembly.
Leadership Appointments
During the meeting, Assembly members appointed Greg Smith as deputy mayor, a role he previously held during a prior term.
