Niall Horan Dublin concerts at 3Arena: Travel disruption and Luas restrictions announced

Niall Horan Dublin Concerts Face Severe Travel Restrictions

Niall Horan’s upcoming four-night run at the 3Arena will proceed as scheduled next week, but concert-goers must prepare for significant travel disruptions due to high-level political summits in Dublin, RTÉ reported. The Mullingar singer is set to perform on November 9, 10, 12, and 13 as part of his Dinner Party Live On Tour, supporting his fourth studio album, Dinner Party. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. each evening, with performances starting at 7:00 p.m.

The transport warnings come as Dublin prepares to host the European Political Community summit on Thursday, November 12, followed by an informal meeting of EU leaders on Friday, November 13. Both diplomatic events will take place at the Convention Centre Dublin, located just a short distance from the 3Arena. While the music venue sits outside the official security cordon, local authorities have implemented strict cordon measures that will heavily impact arrival routes.

Traffic Closures and Road Restrictions Around North Wall Quay

Motorists and pedestrians will encounter major roadblocks across the docklands area during the week of the shows. Transport authorities confirmed there will be zero east-west traffic allowed along North Wall Quay from November 10 through November 13.

Despite the closures, vehicles can still reach the 3Arena via alternative routes, including Seville Place, Sheriff Street Upper, East Wall Road, and the Tom Clarke Bridge. Pedestrian access along North Wall Quay will also be cut off on November 12 and 13. Fans walking to the venue on those dates are directed to use Amiens Street, Seville Place, Spencer Dock Bridge, Sheriff Street Upper, and North Wall Avenue instead. Bus services operating along Dublin's north quays and inner city will run on diverted routes from November 10 to 13.

Luas Red Line Schedule Adjustments and Connolly Walking Routes

Public transport users face the most pronounced changes on the Luas Red Line during the final two nights of the residency. While tram services will operate normally for the concert on Tuesday, November 10, the schedule changes drastically for November 12 and 13.

On those two nights, Red Line trams will terminate at Connolly station, meaning no trams will run directly to The Point stop outside the 3Arena ahead of the shows. Ticket-holders traveling by tram are advised to exit at Connolly and walk to the venue using a designated pedestrian route. Transport for Ireland confirmed that a very limited number of special Luas services will depart from The Point following the conclusion of each concert.

An Garda Síochána and Transport for Ireland urged all attendees to check live public transport updates and build in substantial extra travel time. The album supporting the tour, Dinner Party, recently debuted at No. 1 on the Irish charts as Horan’s fourth chart-topping record and his fastest-selling release to date.
