Rainbow Warriors Sweep NJIT in Straight Sets
Hawaii sophomore opposite Kristian Titriyski put down a match-high 11 kills and the No. 2 Rainbow Warriors men’s volleyball team swept NJIT 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Trevell Jordan added 10 kills and Louis Sakanoko had seven kills and four blocks for Hawaii (9-3).
Harrison Girard led the Highlanders (4-8) with eight kills.
The Rainbow Warriors hit .389 as a team, compared to .211 for NJIT. Hawaii also had a 10-4 advantage in blocks.

HONOLULU, HI – January 5, 2026 – The No. 3 University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team continued its strong start to the season with a decisive 3-0 victory (25-18, 25-16, 25-19) over New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on Saturday night.The Rainbow Warriors showcased thier dominance,building on their momentum from previous season success.
Hawaii’s offense was efficient throughout the match,demonstrating a balanced attack. Freshman setter Magnus Hettervik, hailing from Stavanger, Norway, made an impactful debut for the Rainbow Warriors. He entered the game as a serving substitute in the second set, promptly contributing an ace, and played a key role in closing out the third set, securing Hawaii’s final four points.
