Notre Dame Faces Navy in Key College Football Matchup

Notre Dame’s pursuit of a College Football Playoff berth continues as they prepare to face a familiar opponent.

The No. 10 Fighting Irish aim to extend their winning streak to seven games when they host Navy at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 8 in a Week 11 matchup.

Following narrow defeats against No. 18 Miami and No. 3 texas A&M at the start of the season, coach Marcus Freeman’s team has dominated its schedule, winning each of the last six games by at least 10 points. Running back Jeremiyah Love has significantly improved throughout the season, accumulating 553 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the past four games, averaging 7.4 yards per carry.

Notre Dame’s next challenge comes against a Navy team recovering from its first loss of the season,a 31-17 defeat at North Texas. However, the midshipmen boast a 7-1 record and feature one of the most exciting players in college football: quarterback Blake Horvath, who has 2,069 total yards and 20 touchdowns this season.
