Djokovic Says ‘Cloud’ Will Follow Sinner After Steroid Positive

Tennis legend Novak Djokovic believes a lingering issue will remain for jannik Sinner following the Italian star’s 2024 positive test for steroids.

djokovic stated during an interview on “piers Morgan Uncensored” that while the controversy may lessen over time,it won’t wholly disappear.

“But I don’t think it will disappear,” the 38-year-old Djokovic added.

sinner, 24, a four-time Grand Slam champion, was the world’s No. 1 ranked player when he tested positive twice for an anabolic steroid in March 2024. Djokovic also expressed concerns about how the situation was handled, noting it raised “so many red flags.”

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) didn’t suspend Sinner, determining the banned substance likely entered his system unintentionally during a massage with his fitness trainer. However, Sinner accepted a three-month ban from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).This ban didn’t cause him to miss a grand Slam tournament and prevented more severe penalties.
