The king is aware that the princess couple has broken the agreement with the royal house.

– We have found that, he says.

– And then … We have to live on, so we will try to do something about through conversations. We continue the conversations with them. I think they are more in line with us than it looks like.

Netflix Documentary Sparks Royal House Concerns, Leading to Calls for Clearer Boundaries

King Harald of Norway recently visited the WWF World Natural Fund to commemorate the organization’s 55th anniversary in Norway, meeting with secretary General Karoline Andaur. https://www.ntb.no/kultur-og-underholdning/kongehuset/konge-harald-besokte-wwf-i-anledning-av-55-arsjubileet/6949999f-699f-499f-a99f-699f699f699f Tho, a separate event has drawn scrutiny from the royal house: the release of the Netflix documentary “Rebel Royals: An Unlikely love Story,” featuring Princess Märtha Louise and her husband, Durk Værrett.

The documentary, which became available internationally just over a week ago, has sparked controversy, particularly due to Værrett’s discussion of a racism settlement with the King. https://www.nrk.no/kultur/kronprins-haakon-om-netflix-dokumentaren-1.16533998 Commentators have described this as an “ambush” on the King.

Criticism has also been directed at the documentary’s repeated references to Princess Märtha Louise’s royal title and connection to the royal family.

Shortly after the documentary’s release, the royal house issued a statement asserting that the Princess and her husband’s participation in the production violated an existing agreement.

Crown prince Haakon addressed the issue earlier this week, confirming he had viewed the documentary. He emphasized the need for a clearer distinction between the activities of the royal house and the personal and commercial endeavors of Princess Märtha Louise and Durk Værrett.

“We want there to be a clearer distinction between the royal house’s activities and Princess Märtha Louise and Durk Verett’s project and commercial activities. And I hope we get a little better,” Crown Prince Haakon told NRK. https://www.nrk.no/kultur/kronprins-haakon-om-netflix-dokumentaren-1.16533998

the Crown Prince further stated that the royal house has initiated new discussions with the Princess and Værrett in response to the documentary’s content.
