Richard Ashcroft to Join Oasis on 2025 UK and Ireland Tour

In a surprise announcement, legendary British rock band Oasis has confirmed that Richard Ashcroft, former lead singer of The Verve, will be joining them as a special guest on all of their 2025 Ireland and UK tour dates.

Known for his iconic vocals and The Verve’s smash hit Bitter Sweet Symphony, Ashcroft expressed his excitement about the collaboration in a statement. He cited Oasis’s influence on his own music, specifically praising Noel Gallagher’s songwriting and Liam Gallagher’s powerful stage presence.

“As a fan from day one, I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasis’s return was announced,” Ashcroft shared.

“I can say with no exaggeration that the song-writing talent of Noel [Gallagher] and Liam’s pure spirit as a lead singer helped to inspire me to create some of my best work.

“It was the perfection of Live Forever that forced me to try and write my own.

They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real and I will always remember those days with joy.

Now it’s time to create more memories and I’m ready to bring it.

Rumors of Ashcroft’s involvement in the tour had been circulating for weeks. Oasis will be performing at Croke Park in Dublin on August 16th and 17th, 2025. These shows mark their only European dates in 2025.

The remaining support acts for the tour are yet to be announced.
