Will Jordan Love Play This Week? Packers QB Aims for Lions Showdown

Green Bay Packers fans are holding their breath as their starting quarterback, Jordan Love, deals with a groin strain. Love suffered the injury early in the Packers’ win against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. While he managed to play through it for two quarters, he eventually exited in the third quarter.

## Love Determined to Start

Despite the injury, Love is determined to play against the Detroit Lions this Sunday at Lambeau Field. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Love is “determined to play” and Rapoport believes he has a “really good chance” of taking the field.

It’s just a groin strain. This is going to be a matter of doing rehab, getting treatment, working right up until game time, just seeing if he’s good enough to play. He is determined to play. He does not need to be 100 percent to play. That makes me believe that he’s got a really good chance.

While the severity of the injury is not enough to keep Love out, the Packers are likely to take a cautious approach. Head Coach Matt LaFleur is known for keeping his cards close to his chest, but it’s anticipated that Love will be a game-time decision.

## Malik Willis on Standby

If Love can’t make it, Malik Willis will get the start. Willis has had a successful two games as a starter.

## Looking Ahead

The Packers have a bye week scheduled for Week 10, giving Love plenty of time to recover. Barring any setbacks, he should be close to full health when Green Bay faces the Chicago Bears in Week 11.

Stay tuned for updates on Jordan Love’s status and the Packers’ preparation for their matchup against the Detroit Lions.
