Paley Honors Gala to Celebrate Media Leaders and Charlie’s Angels
The Paley Center for Media will host its 2026 Paley Honors Spring Gala on May 14 at The Plaza in New York City, recognizing Vivendi CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine, Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl, and the 50th anniversary of the television series Charlie’s Angels. Stars Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd are scheduled to attend the event.
Honoring Industry Visionaries
The Paley Honors Award will be presented to Arnaud de Puyfontaine, Chairman of the Management Board & CEO of Vivendi, acknowledging his leadership in the global media landscape. Prior to his role at Vivendi, de Puyfontaine held positions at Le Figaro, Emap Group, Editions Mondadori France, and Hearst, where he served as CEO of its UK subsidiary and executive VP of Hearst Magazines International since June 2014 .
Robert Kyncl, CEO of Warner Music Group, will too be honored for his innovative work and influence in the creator economy. Kyncl joined Warner Music Group in 2023 following a 12-year tenure as YouTube’s chief business officer. His career also includes seven years at Netflix, where he played a key role in the company’s transition from DVD-by-mail to streaming .
Celebrating Charlie’s Angels’ Legacy
The gala will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels, a groundbreaking television series. The show and its stars, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd, will be recognized for their “pioneering contributions to the media landscape and their enduring impact on television” .
Supporting Paley’s Mission
Proceeds from the Paley Honors Spring Gala will benefit the Paley Center’s educational programs and preservation initiatives within The Paley Archive, the world’s largest publicly accessible collection of television & radio programs . The event coincides with the Paley Center’s 50th anniversary year, following the reopening of its renovated museum spaces in November .
