Paradise Lost Returns to Riga with Saturnus and Shores of Null
Legendary British gothic metal band Paradise Lost is set to perform at the Spelet concert hall in Riga, Latvia, on February 22, 2026. The concert will feature support from Danish doom/death metal group Saturnus and Italian band Shores of Null.
A Highly Anticipated Return
Paradise Lost is touring in support of their latest album, “Ascension.” While the setlist may not heavily feature tracks from “Ascension,” with only “Serpent On The Cross,” “Tyrants Serenade,” and “Silence Like The Grave” expected to be played, fans can anticipate a setlist filled with the band’s classic hits, including “True Belief,” “Pity The Sadness,” “Say Just Words,” “One Second,” and “Once Solemn.”
Saturnus: A Fan Favorite
Danish doom metal band Saturnus has garnered significant praise from metal fans, with some expressing a preference for seeing them perform over Paradise Lost themselves. The band, formed in Copenhagen in 1991, still includes original members vocalist Thomas Akim Gronbeck Jensen and bassist Brian Pommy Hansen. Their discography consists of five studio albums, the most recent being 2023’s “The Storm Within.” Saturnus previously performed at the Kilkim Žaibu festival in Lithuania, leaving a positive impression on audiences.
Shores of Null to Open the Evening
Italian band Shores of Null will open the concert, setting the stage for Paradise Lost and Saturnus.
Paradise Lost’s History in Riga
This concert marks Paradise Lost’s return to Riga after an 18-year gap, following a performance at the Palladium concert hall in November 2022. Prior to that, the band last played in Riga in 2004 at the Ķīpsala hall.
