Paul Mescal and Eddie Redmayne had a humorous exchange about their intense workouts for their latest roles on The Graham Norton Show. Mescal’s ‘Fun’ Workout Regime

Paul, who is starring as Luscious Verus in "Gladiator II," packed on muscle for his role. He stated, ‘I ate a lot of chicken and lifted heavy things. I worked with a trainer who constantly reminded me that ‘there’s muscle to be built here’.

He continued, ‘He went to town, and I saw him every day. It was fun.’ Paul admitted he had his limits. "I liked to drink and smoke, so I drew the line there," he shared.

Redmayne’s ‘Horrendous’ Diet

Eddie Redmayne, who stars in ‘The Day of the Jackal,’ had a drastically different experience. He said, ‘It was horrifying. You read in the script ‘he must be ripped, sinuous and toned,’ and you think, ‘Oh f**k here comes the chicken diet.’

"I profoundly disagree with Paul – it was not fun, it was horrendous."
