Latvian music sensations Pienvedėja Adventures are set to launch their seventh studio album, ” Kā nekad” (Never), on May 8th, 2023, marking a significant milestone in their musical journey. The upcoming album, steeped in maturity and musical growth, promises a captivating exploration of the band’s artistic evolution.

This highly anticipated release follows the recent unveiling of their latest single, also titled ” Kā nekad,” a track that showcases a softer, more introspective side to the band. Speaking about the single, frontman Māris Žigats shared, “Each of us has a special person whom we often idealize. This song isn’t a specific story but rather our perspective on this kind of relationship. It’s about those feelings that are sometimes hard to express but universally understood.”

While the song reflects a subtle shift in tone, guitarist Aldis Lunde-Kurzemnieks assures fans that the essence of Pienvedėja Adventures’ unique sound remains intact. He describes ” Kā nekad” as “kept in much calmer tones” while retaining “the characteristic handwriting of the ‘milkmen’.”

The single ” Kā nekad” joins “Physics Law” and “Karuselis,” two previously released tracks that offer a tantalizing glimpse into the diverse musical landscape that awaits on the new album. Aldis Lunde-Kurzemnieks hints at the album’s thematic depth, stating, “The new album is a reflection of our growth as musicians and individuals. It’s a diverse musical landscape that we believe will captivate listeners and take them on a journey through our artistic evolution.”

To celebrate the release of ” Kā nekad,” Pienvedėja Adventures embark on a series of presentation concerts in three major Latvian cities. The tour kicks off in Riga at the Angārs concert hall on May 8th, followed by two more shows in Liepāja at the cultural house “Wiktorija” on May 10th and Jelgava at the club “Melno cepurišu balerija” on May 23rd.

“At these concerts, we will be playing songs from the new album,” Aldis Lunde-Kurzemnieks teases, “songs that we think are very mature for the age of the band. Of course, no Pienvedėja Adventures concert would be complete without our biggest hits.”

The group’s new album promises to be a special journey, reflecting both musical growth and personal evolution. Fans can expect a dynamic blend of familiar sounds and mature, introspective themes.
