New Hotel Planned for Waterford City Centre

Exciting news for Waterford City Centre! A planning application has been submitted to Waterford City and County Council for a new hotel development.

The application, submitted by Code The Mall Limited on December 20th, proposes transforming the existing building at 97 and 98 Custom House Quay into a hotel.

Building Transformation

The plans envision the change of use from its current commercial purpose to a hotel across the ground, first, and second floor levels. A flat roof at the building’s rear will also be incorporated into the design. Additionally, a restaurant is proposed for the ground floor, offering a convenient dining option for guests and locals alike.

Decision Timeline

Waterford City and County Council is expected to make a decision on this application by February 22nd, 2025.
