POC Unveils 2026 MTB Collection with Focus on Safety and Versatility
POC, the Swedish protection brand, has launched its 2026 mountain bike (MTB) collection, featuring new products and innovations designed to enhance safety, comfort, and performance on the trail. The collection includes the new Cularis Pure helmet, updated VPD protection systems, and the Devour Mid eyewear, alongside a refreshed Motion apparel line.
Cularis Pure: Lightweight Protection and Ventilation
Inspired by the highly-regarded Cularis helmet, the Cularis Pure offers a lighter and more streamlined design while maintaining a high level of protection. It has earned a five-star rating from Virginia Tech [1]. The helmet incorporates rigorous computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and airflow testing to ensure optimal ventilation and rider comfort at any speed. Large front intake vents and internal air ducts work to maintain riders cool. A unique feature of the Cularis Pure is its interchangeable helmet peak, allowing riders to adapt to varying weather conditions – an open peak for ventilation or a closed peak for protection from rain and cold [2].
Enhanced Protection with VPD Max Joints and VPD Air Torso
POC’s 2026 collection introduces a new approach to knee and elbow protection with the patent-pending VPD Max system. Utilizing two independent layers of Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough (VPD), known for its impact absorption properties, the VPD Max joints provide increased protection and energy dissipation during falls [1]. This system is accompanied by an updated VPD Air Torso, which maintains a high level of protection while being lighter and more flexible than previous iterations. VPD technology, developed over a decade ago, offers a unique combination of flexibility and impact protection, becoming soft and pliable with body heat but hardening upon impact [3].
Motion Apparel Collection: Breathable and Unrestrictive Design
The Motion apparel collection focuses on providing riders with breathable, technical fabrics and unrestrictive cuts for optimal freedom of movement. The collection includes short-sleeve jerseys for both men and women, crafted from high-performance, 85% recycled materials [3]. New additions include the Women’s and Men’s Motion Pants, made with durable, recycled materials and designed to fit over pads, and the Women’s and Men’s Motion Shorts, which are lightweight and adjustable. All pieces are designed to eliminate distractions and allow riders to focus on performance.
Devour Mid: Versatile Eyewear
The Devour Mid is a new eyewear option inspired by the popular Devour model. Designed for mountain biking, gravel riding, and road cycling, the Devour Mid offers a regular fit and features Clarity lens technology developed in partnership with Carl Zeiss for optimal vision and coverage [3]. The lenses are easily interchangeable to adapt to changing light conditions, and the temples and nosepiece are fully adjustable for a secure fit. Ri-Pel lens treatment protects against dirt, water, and other elements.
POC’s 2026 MTB collection represents a continued commitment to safety, innovation, and design, providing riders with the gear they need to confidently tackle any trail.
