Prince George has joined king Charles, Queen Camilla and Catherine, Princess of Wales at this year’s Festival of Remembrance in London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The audience stood and a fanfare played as the royals entered the concert hall to commemorate those who lost thier lives in service,on the eve of Remembrance Sunday.

Prime minister Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria also attended the annual event, which this year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of world War Two.

Princess Catherine and Prince George Attend D-Day 80th Anniversary Event

Princess Catherine was joined by her eldest son, Prince George, 12, at a special event commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The event, broadcast on BBC One at 21:00, was hosted by actress Hannah Waddingham and featured performances by Sir Rod Stewart and Sam Ryder.

Several armed forces bands, including the RAF Squadronaires, also performed military music alongside the artists. The event honored veterans,including those who participated in the planning of D-Day and former prisoners of war.

Notably, members of the LGBTQ+ veterans charity Fighting With Pride were in attendance, including Alex Rasmussen, who was discharged from the Royal Navy in 1996 after his sexuality was discovered.

The King previously demonstrated his support for the community in October by unveiling a memorial dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender military personnel.
