Prince William Pens Heartfelt Note on Eve of Africa Trip, Giving Sweet Nod to Kate Middleton
Prince William is embarking on a significant trip to Africa next week, and ahead of his departure, he penned a personal message to the public, offering a sweet tribute to his wife, Kate Middleton.
The Prince of Wales, who will be traveling to Cape Town without his wife, shared the origins and inspiration behind his cherished project, The Earthshot Prize.
“Africa has always held a special place in my heart as somewhere I found comfort as a teenager,” William began, adding, “it is also where I proposed to my wife and most recently as the founding inspiration behind The Earthshot Prize.”
In 2018, during a visit to Namibia, William witnessed firsthand the transformative potential of innovative environmental solutions. He realized the profound impact these solutions could have on both humans and nature.
On November 6th, William will be marking the fourth year of the ten-year Earthshot Prize, a global program dedicated to finding solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges.
He will be spotlighting a new cohort of 15 finalists and celebrating the inspiring approaches to environmental innovation happening across the continent.
Around “2,000 South Africans are set to attend the Awards Ceremony at the purpose-built Earthshot Prize Dome in the heart of Cape Town,”
Prince William emphasized the ceremony’s impact on the local community, noting that its production created approximately “650 jobs locally” while staying true to sustainability and celebrating African culture. This announcement follows Prince
