The public entity Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda will create and put into circulation a 40 euro collectible coin dedicated to the coming of age of the Princess Eleanorwho will turn 18 on October 31.
They will be manufactured at most a million pieces and will be available to the public during the fourth quarter of the year, according to the order of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation published this Wednesday by the Official State Gazette (BOE).
This collector’s coin will be distributed by the Bank of Spain, credit institutions, the National Mint and Stamp Factory itself-Real Casa de la Moneda and designated public and private entities, upon request from individuals.
Made of 925 thousandths silver and the rest copperwill have a weight of 18 grams and a diameter of 33 millimeters.
The effigy of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias will appear on the obverse of the coin. At the top the legend ‘FELIPE VI KING OF SPAIN’ and the year of coinage, 2023, will appear, separated by a hyphen, while at the bottom it will say ‘PRINCESS LEONOR’. Both texts will be separated by an interpretation of the Victory Cross and a pearl pattern will surround the motifs and legends.
