The NEA encourages visitors to consider visiting on off-peak days.

Partial Closures

The Garden of Peace at Choa Chu Kang Cemetery and the Garden of Serenity next to the Mandai North Crematorium will be closed to the public on the 11 peak days. This is to ensure privacy for families who have prior approval to scatter ashes in these gardens.

Important Reminders & Safety Guidelines

  • At Choa Chu Kang Columbarium, access to occupied niches will be maintained, but visitors should avoid hoarded areas where works are ongoing.
  • Prioritize safety and be mindful of surroundings.
  • Use designated burners and pits for burning joss paper.
  • Burn joss paper in small quantities to reduce ash dispersal.
  • Do not leave lit candles, joss sticks, or joss paper unattended.
  • Clear all food offerings and litter to avoid attracting pests.
  • Avoid consuming food and drinks within the columbaria premises.
  • Do not bring pets into the columbaria.
  • Do not offer any form of gratification to staff.
