Radek Faksa’s Season Ends Following Olympic and Subsequent Injury
Dallas Stars forward Radek Faksa will miss the remainder of the NHL regular season due to a lower-body injury, according to Stars General Manager Jim Nill. This injury comes after Faksa initially sustained an upper-body injury while representing Team Czechia at the Milan Olympics.
Faksa participated in training with the Stars following his return from the Olympics, but unfortunately suffered another unspecified injury.
In 56 games played this season, Faksa recorded two goals and 15 assists. Despite his absence, the Stars remain in a strong position in the Western Conference, currently holding second place, trailing only the Colorado Avalanche in points .
Faksa’s return to Dallas was marked by a sense of homecoming, having previously played nine seasons with the Stars before a trade to the St. Louis Blues in 2024. He chose to return to Dallas on a three-year contract this past summer .
Prior to his NHL career, Faksa’s journey involved moving to play hockey at a young age, living alone in a hotel at 11 and then crossing the ocean to play in the OHL at 17 before being drafted 13th overall by Dallas in 2012 .
