Krantz’s journey began at MJI Broadcasting, where he steadily climbed the ranks, eventually assuming the roles of Vice President and General Manager. His sharp understanding of the industry and his ability to nurture burgeoning talent earned him a reputation as a rising star.

In 1997, Krantz joined Chancellor Media’s AMFM Radio Networks as Executive Vice President of Programming. This move proved to be a pivotal moment, propelling him into the national spotlight. His tenure continued through the company’s merger with Clear Channel’s Premiere Networks, further solidifying his position as a dominant force in the radio space.

From there, Krantz continued to leave his mark, leading Air America, a progressive talk radio network, before taking the helm as Chief Digital Media Officer for Westwood One/Metro Networks. His ability to anticipate and adapt to the evolving media landscape made him a sought-after leader.

Driven by a potent entrepreneurial spirit, Krantz founded Krantz Media Group in 2010. This platform served as a fertile ground for his ongoing passion for innovation, encompassing ventures such as managing partner of Podcast Radio US and Podcast Israel Media LTD.

Beyond his own ventures, Krantz generously shared his expertise, serving as an advisor to prominent media investment firms like Oaklins desilva+Phillips and technology companies like Geo Broadcast Solutions.

A memorial service honoring his life and accomplishments will be held on Sunday, January 26, at 2:30 pm at Riverside Memorial Chapel in New York City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Krantz’s memory.
