Video: Can the Raiders find REDEMPTION? NRL Tips – Finals Week 2
(Video Transcript)
Dan Walsh: Welcome back to NRL Tips. Finals footy is the best, and we’re into Week 2 after a massive first week.I’m joined by Michael Chammas and Roy Masters.
Michael Chammas: Good to be here, Dan.
Roy Masters: Always a pleasure.
Dan Walsh: Let’s dive straight into it. The first game, the Roosters versus the Sharks. Michael, where do you see this one going?
Michael Chammas: This is a captivating one. The roosters were really impressive last week, and I think their kicking game is going to be key. They’ll target the Sharks’ right edge defence, which has been a bit shaky. The Sharks, though, are a big side, and if they can get their forward pack going, they can really dominate. I’m going with the Roosters, but it’ll be close.
Dan Walsh: Roy, your thoughts?
Roy Masters: I agree with Michael. The Roosters have that big-game experience, and Trent Robinson is a master coach in finals. The Sharks have been inconsistent, and I think that will continue. Roosters to win.
dan walsh: Okay, Roosters it is from both of you. Moving onto the second game, the Raiders versus the Knights. This is a huge one for Canberra after that heartbreaking loss to the Storm. Can they bounce back?
Michael Chammas: This is where it gets interesting. The Raiders were so close last week, and they’ll be absolutely gutted. But they’re a proud team, and they’ve got a lot to play for. The Knights are playing well, but I think the Raiders’ experience and desperation will get them over the line. I’m tipping the Raiders.
Dan Walsh: Roy?
Roy Masters: The Raiders need redemption. They were robbed last week, from my personal perspective, and they’ll come out firing. The Knights are a good side, but I think the Raiders’ forwards will be too strong. Raiders to win.
Dan walsh: So, a clean sweep for the Raiders as well. Let’s talk about potential upsets. Is there anyone who could cause a shock?
Michael Chammas: I think the Sharks could perhaps upset the Roosters if their forwards get on top early. but it’s a big ask.
Roy Masters: I wouldn’t rule out the Knights completely. They’ve got some exciting young players, and if they play their best football, they could trouble the Raiders.
Dan Walsh: Alright, there you have it. Roosters and Raiders are our tips for Week 2 of the finals. Let’s see if we can get it right!

Can the Raiders Find Redemption? NRL Tips – Finals week 2
Week 2 of the NRL Finals is upon us, and the stakes are higher than ever. After a brutal opening week, several teams are facing elimination, while others look to solidify their position for a Grand Final berth. Let’s dive into each match with our tips and analysis.
Match 1: Penrith Panthers vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs
The Panthers proved their premiership credentials last week with a dominant performance. They’re consistently strong across the park, and their halves are firing. South Sydney, though, showed resilience in their qualifying final win. This match will be a clash of styles – Penrith’s controlled power versus South Sydney’s explosive attack.
Tip: Penrith to win. The Panthers’ defense is too strong for the Rabbitohs to consistently break down.
Match 2: Melbourne Storm vs.Sydney Roosters
This is a classic rivalry renewed in the finals. The Storm looked shaky at times last week, but their experience and big-game players will be crucial. The Roosters, with their young stars, are a risky opponent. Their forward pack is aggressive, and their backline can score from anywhere.
Tip: Melbourne to win, but it will be close. The Storm’s composure in pressure situations gives them the edge.
Match 3: Canberra Raiders vs. cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
the Raiders are under immense pressure after their disappointing loss in Week 1. They need to respond quickly, or their season is over. Their attack needs to be more clinical, and their defense must tighten up. The Sharks are coming off a tough loss and will be looking to bounce back. They’re a physical team that relies on their strong forward pack.
tip: Canberra to win. This is their redemption game. They have the talent to win, but they need to play with desperation and focus.
Match 4: Parramatta Eels vs. Newcastle Knights
The Eels were impressive in their qualifying final victory, showcasing their attacking prowess. They’ll need to maintain that form against a Knights team that’s building nicely. Newcastle’s young players are gaining confidence, and their forward pack is starting to dominate.
Tip: Parramatta to win. Their experience and attacking firepower will be too much for the Knights to handle.
