Randy Orton Gears Up for Historic 10th Elimination Chamber Match
Randy Orton is preparing to enter his 10th Elimination Chamber match at the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber event on February 28, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois. This milestone will extend his record for the most appearances in the grueling match type, surpassing the previous mark of eight held by both John Cena and Chris Jericho [1].
Experience as a Key Advantage
Speaking to ESPN’s Receive Up, Orton acknowledged the physical toll the Elimination Chamber takes on competitors, but emphasized that his extensive experience will be a significant advantage. “Ten Elimination Chambers is a lot of Elimination Chambers. My body’s been beaten up all over that ring and that Chamber man, it is unforgiving. But I take a lot of experience with myself into that Chamber and I’m gonna use it this Saturday, and I’m gonna win the thing and go to WrestleMania, man. I’ve only got so many years I’m gonna be able to do this, and I’m enjoying every second of it, so at the Chamber I’m gonna make it count,” Orton said [4].
Road to WrestleMania 42
Orton qualified for the Elimination Chamber match by winning a triple threat match against Aleister Black and Solo Sikoa earlier this month. A victory in the Chamber would earn him the opportunity to challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas [4]. McIntyre recently won the title from Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match on SmackDown and has publicly stated his preference to avoid facing Rhodes at WrestleMania.
Elimination Chamber Lineup
The men’s Elimination Chamber match is shaping up to be a competitive field. Confirmed participants alongside Orton include LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams. Evans will become the youngest competitor in the history of the Elimination Chamber [4]. The final spot will be determined on WWE Raw in a triple threat qualifier between Jey Uso, Bronson Reed, and “The Original” El Grande Americano.
