Rangers Overwhelm FCSB in Dominant Victory

Rangers secured a convincing 4-0 victory over FCSB in a dominant display that showcased their attacking prowess.

Early Goals Set the Tone

It was a blistering start for Clement’s men, and their high-octane play was rewarded with an early goal. Questionable goalkeeping allowed Tom Lawrence to curl a shot into the net from the edge of the box, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

The lead doubled just before the half-hour mark when Cerny, who had assisted Lawrence’s opener, won possession in the final third and unleashed a superb strike into the far corner with his weaker right foot.

Second Half Dominance

The onslaught continued after the break as on-loan Wolfsburg winger Cenry added his second and Rangers’ third goal. A swift counter-attack culminated in Cenry skillfully dribbling past defenders before calmly rolling the ball into the net.

Substitute Hamza Igamane further extended the lead, opening his account for the club with a composed finish after some impressive footwork.

FCSB Offered Little Resistance

FCSB, currently fifth in Romania’s top flight, struggled to contain Rangers’ relentless pressure. While they did manage to test Butland with a shot from Siyabonga Ngezana in the first half, they were ultimately overwhelmed for the majority of the match.

Minor Concerns for Clement

Despite the convincing victory, Clement will be hoping for positive news regarding Tom Lawrence, who was substituted at halftime with a potential knee injury. Cyriel Dessers and Leon Balogun also experienced second-half issues, adding a slightly concerning note to the match.

Looking Ahead

With this commanding win, Rangers remain 11th in the 36-team table. More details on the injuries and future fixtures will be released shortly. Stay tuned for updates on the Rangers journey.
