Reform UK Proposes Large-Scale Deportation Plan

Reform UK has unveiled a five-year plan,”operation Restoring Justice,” to detain and deport all migrants arriving in the UK without permission. Party leader Nigel Farage announced the plan at a news conference, describing illegal migration as a “scourge” on the UK.

The plan centers on barring anyone arriving via small boats from claiming asylum and securing deals with countries for their return. Reform UK would allocate £2 billion towards these returns deals, offering aid as an incentive and considering sanctions for non-cooperative nations.Farage stated that detaining and deporting all those arriving by small boat is the only way to stop the crossings, believing it would eliminate the incentive within days. He acknowledged previously considering mass deportations a “political impossibility” but now claims his party has developed a “credible plan” to deport hundreds of thousands of people over five years. Senior figure Zia Yusuf affirmed the feasibility of deporting 600,000 people within that timeframe.

Under the plan, arrivals would be arrested and detained at disused RAF bases, with returns to countries of origin – including Afghanistan and Eritrea – contingent on reaching agreements. the party proposes building removal centers in remote areas to detain up to 24,000 people within 18 months.

Reform UK would also explore housing migrants in countries like Rwanda and Albania, and utilize British overseas territories, such as Ascension Island, as a “fallback” option. The plan aims to increase deportation charter flights to five per day and offers migrants £2,500 to return voluntarily as part of a “carrot and stick approach.”
