The 2025 Rolex Shanghai Masters has a story worthy of a hollywood script.

Two cousins, Arthur rinderknech and valentin Vacherot, will compete for the ATP Masters 1000 title. Vacherot previously stunned four-time champion Novak Djokovic earlier Saturday. Rinderknech then battled past 2019 Shanghai winner Daniil Medvedev 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, making the final a family affair.

“In our best dreams, we couldn’t have imagined this. It’s beyond a dream, because I don’t think anyone in our family even considered it possible,” Rinderknech said. “We started believing it, maybe in the quarterfinals…

“Now we are here, having fought through so many matches, and somehow we are the two guys left standing. It’s just incredible.”
