The ROG Ally X (or a device like it) is the clear winner. Nothing beats pulling out a powerful gaming machine and being able to dive into a high-quality gaming session on the train or bus. The Xbox just can’t compete here as it requires both a TV and a power outlet.

Living room Gaming:

The Xbox Series X shines in this setting. Being hooked up to a large, high-resolution TV is the definitive way to experience AAA console titles. The ally can be docked, but will rarely perform as well as a proper console due to thermal and power limitations. While the Xbox Series S is capable, the graphical fidelity jump to the Series X is noticable and worth the price difference for those interested in high-end living room gaming.

Travel

Traveling with an Ally X is much simpler than an Xbox Series X/S. The travel friendly nature allows you to quickly play it any hotel room or similar.While the Switch is the more travel friendly device, it lacks the power of the Ally X for many games.
