The Russian state corporation Rostecsubject to sanctions by the West, has production multiplied by 50 of ammunition for small arms and missiles for multiple launchers since the beginning of the war in ukraineaccording to its general director, Sergei Chemezov.
“We increased the production of ammunition for light weapons and multiple launch systems by 50 times,” he said during a meeting with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, fragments of which were broadcast on state television.
In addition, he pointed out that the corporation has increased the production of armored transports by 5.5 times and the production of war tanks by seven times.
“This is a global increase,” indicated the director of Rostec, one of the world’s largest producers of weapons, airplanes, helicopters and other equipment.
Several independent Russian media have reported that Rostec evades imposed sanctions by the West through shell companies that allow them to import components subject to restrictions and essential for the manufacture of missiles and drones.
