Sadhguru’s Morning Diet: What the Spiritual Leader Eats

Spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev, known as Sadhguru, is recovering from brain surgery. He once shared details about his morning diet. He explained what he typically eats, saying, “I usually have pomegranate. if I’m going to be very physically active, like playing golf or walking – I don’t drive – then I might have carbs like idli, chapati,or rice. But if I’m just doing mental work and not moving around much, I’ll drink a glass of liquid millet porridge, something you can drink like coffee.”

He also talked about what he eats on an empty stomach. “I have freshly ground neem leaf balls and turmeric balls, which I think are a ‘miracle for your life.’ I also have sprouted methi (fenugreek), which is important for cleaning your cells, and soaked groundnuts that have soaked for 6-8 hours. Soaking is very important. These are high-quality protein because they’re organically grown,” Sadhguru told CurlyTales in 2023.

He also spoke about eating one meal a day and sometimes fasting for longer periods.

Let’s look at what happens when you adjust your morning routine to match your day’s activities.

These habits – including eating one meal a day, longer fasting periods, and using neem and turmeric balls – are based on ideas from yoga and Ayurveda.
