Jakarta – The joint search and rescue (SAR) team discovered fragments of the hull of the KM Putri sakinah tourist ship, which went down carrying Martin Carreras Fernando, coach of the Los Che Women’s Team B for LaLiga Valencia club, along with his three children. During the second day of searching in Labuan Bajo, NTT, the team located fragments of the ship’s hull five nautical miles from the scene.

“The search for the four victims, who are foreign nationals from Spain, is still ongoing,” said Head of the Basarnas Maumere Office, Fathur Rahman, as reported by Antara on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

The joint SAR team has evacuated seven of the total eleven victims from the tourist ship KM Putri Sakinah, which sank in the waters of Padar Island, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, NTT, on friday evening, December 26.
