Seahawks Match Jaguars’ Offer to Wide Receiver Jake Bobo

The Seattle Seahawks have matched the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offer sheet to restricted free agent wide receiver Jake Bobo, ensuring he remains with the team. The agreement secures Bobo’s contract through the 2027 season.

Bobo signed the two-year offer sheet with the Jaguars on Friday, initiating a five-day window for the Seahawks to match. According to reports from NFL Network, the deal is valued at $5.5 million, with $4.5 million guaranteed. Incentives could potentially raise the total value to $7 million. ESPN and NBC Sports confirmed the matching offer.

The Seahawks initially tendered Bobo the right-of-first-refusal at $3.52 million for one year, allowing him to explore offers from other teams while retaining the right to match any potential contract. Jacksonville’s offer presented a more lucrative opportunity, but Seattle ultimately chose to retain the receiver.

Despite an injury-affected 2025 season, where he dealt with a concussion and Achilles/calf injuries, the Seahawks valued Bobo’s contributions. He recorded two receptions for 20 yards during the regular season and added two receptions for 33 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown in the NFC Championship Game, during the team’s Super Bowl LX winning playoff run. ESPN reports that Bobo is considered a vital member of Seattle’s special teams and their top blocking wide receiver.

Bobo joined the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2023 and quickly became a fan favorite, notably playing in Super Bowl LX shortly after surgery for a broken hand sustained in the NFC Championship Game. Throughout his NFL career, he has accumulated 34 receptions for 323 yards and three touchdowns.
