Serena Williams returns to Wimbledon. Four years after her last appearance in the singles draw, the 23-time Grand Slam champion is ready to step back onto the grass courts of the All England Club, where she will debut against the Australian Maya Joint after obtaining a wild card. And, as is tradition, she has chosen to experience this new adventure without sacrificing comfort.
A luxury villa in the heart of London
To prepare for her return, the tennis player stayed in a prestigious Airbnb villa in the London neighborhood of West Kensington, a property spread over seven floors with six bedrooms, a panoramic terrace, a large freestanding bathtub, and refined crystal chandeliers. The home, worth approximately 40,000 pounds per week, hosted Serena also during the Queen’s tournament, a preparation stage for Wimbledon.

On June 17, the American champion shared some images of the residence on her Instagram profile, thanking Airbnb for the hospitality. “A little peace is always welcome during tournament week,” she wrote in the caption accompanying the photographs, in which she appears while enjoying a moment of relaxation, walking in the villa’s outdoor spaces, and looking out from the balcony surrounded by greenery. The owner of the house responded publicly to the message, writing: “It was a privilege to host you and we are pleased that our home offered you a bit of peace during tournament week.”
The return of Serena Williams after four years
Seven-time Wimbledon winner, with her last success achieved in 2016, Serena Williams has decided almost at the last moment to return to compete in women’s singles and also in the doubles tournament together with her sister Venus. Her return represents one of the most anticipated events of the 2026 edition of the London Slam, with the American champion ready to pursue another page of history in one of the tournaments that most marked her career.
