Pakistan Pledges Support to Saudi Arabia Amidst Middle East Tensions

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah on Thursday, March 13, 2026, to discuss escalating tensions in the Middle East and reaffirm the strong bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The meeting took place following a U.S.-Israel war on Iran, which has plunged the region into conflict, according to reports from Brecorder.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties

During the talks, both leaders reviewed the close bilateral relations between their countries and explored avenues for further strengthening cooperation in various fields as reported by Saudi Gazette. Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and expressed deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s longstanding support for Pakistan according to Dunya News.

Both leaders agreed to continue working closely together to promote peace and stability.
